Amy Gendron BS, RHIT, CCS – has worked in the Integrity and Audit Service department of Trinity Health for over 18 years. Starting as an Integrity and Compliance Specialist where she was responsible for conducting hospital inpatient and outpatient audits and developing monitoring programs to ensure compliance with CMS rules and regulations for the healthcare organization. She is now the Director of Clinical and Regulatory Compliance, Amy oversees the compliance program for all acute care (hospital) inpatient and outpatient operations as well as the post-acute care entities, including Skilled Nursing Facilities, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Home Health/Hospice, PACE programs, Ambulance and DME providers. Amy earned her bachelor’s degree of science in Health Informatics and her associate degree in Health Information Management. She is also credentialed as an RHIT and CCS through the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). She has presented educational seminars at state and national conferences on healthcare compliance topics including, AHIMA, MHIMA, HCCA and AHIA.
